Stepping Into New Spaces: Hara Makers at the Anthroposophy Community Market

by haramakers

Sometimes, unexpected opportunities lead us to new experiences and meaningful connections.

What started with a sudden invitation from Callie Tai soon became an opportunity for Hara Makers to join the Kongsi Community Market 1st November 2026.

Exploring New Communities

At Hara Makers, we usually connect with people through sustainability initiatives, plastic upcycling workshops and community projects.

Joining the Anthroposophy community market was something different for us. It was a chance to step outside our familiar circles, explore new perspectives and meet people from different backgrounds.

Although we were unfamiliar with the Anthroposophy community, we welcomed the opportunity to learn and share our work.

Sharing Stories Beyond Products

Our upcycled products are more than everyday items. Each carries a story of discarded materials being given another purpose and the people who help transform them.

Through our Reimagine Plastic Project, we work with communities to turn recovered plastic into functional products while supporting skills development and income-generating opportunities.

Participating in community markets allows us to share these stories, introduce our work to new audiences and encourage conversations about responsible consumption and sustainability.

Growing Through New Experiences

Not every opportunity needs to begin with a perfect plan. Sometimes, simply being open to new experiences can lead to valuable conversations and connections.

We are grateful to Callie Tai and the event organisers for welcoming Hara Makers into this community.

As we continue our sustainability journey, we look forward to learning from different communities, sharing our experiences and discovering new ways to create positive impact.

Because meaningful connections often begin when we step outside our comfort zone.
