Openet & CRM has been collaborating with Hara Makers for the past three years. Our first initiative together was the Zero Plastic Campaign in the office, where we educated employees on proper plastic disposal and encouraged them to collect used plastic for upcycling. This was followed by quarterly river clean-up volunteering sessions with Hara Makers.
Hara Makers also conducted upcycling workshops for us, including transforming used plastic into coasters and repurposing used coffee grounds into handmade soap. The Hara Makers team is always passionate about environmental sustainability and patient in educating us on the importance of keeping our planet clean.

Through the river-cleaning activity, I learned that we produce different kinds of waste daily, such as plastic, fabric, and masks, which are irresponsibly thrown into rivers. While cleaning the river, we saw garbage flowing past that we couldn't collect due to the rapid current. Even though we managed to clean certain areas of the riverbank, it was far from enough to make the river 'really clean.' Big thanks to Hara Makers for providing my team and me with the opportunity to gain knowledge about the importance of rivers, the types of waste, and how the waste is processed after segregation.

Toy Library Malaysia has joined forces with Hara Makers to recycle and upcycle plastic toys. Additionally, we run workshops on upcycling to raise awareness about the benefits of reusing plastic. We're proud to collaborate on these efforts to help conserve the environment, with the support of Play Unltd PLT and the Re:Toy Hub.

I joined the river clean up session and it was an eye opening experience! In just an hour, we collected 100kg worth of trash, it’s really scary how much trash there are in our beautiful river. I learnt a lot from this activity, hope more people can join so we can help restore our beautiful river. Thank you Reimagine Plastic for organizing!

感觉到了原来在我们看不到的地方人类对地球的污染还是非常大的，大家都觉得自己随手丢的一个小垃圾对环境不会有太大的影响，但没想到所有人随手的动作会带来大大的影响。今天我才发现原来还是有很多人在努力维持地球的环境的，所以从今天起，爱护环境人人有责，不要再当一位旁观者了。为环境保护付出一份力是件非常有成就感的事。通过本次活动也见到了更加多的人和事，对当下社会也更加了解了。

非常高兴能够参加这个活动，整个活动下来，很好玩，也很累。这个活动是我人生最难忘的经历，因为我从来没有想过会下去一个肮脏的河里面捡垃圾。此外，这个活动让我学的了很多新东西，如环保知识及如何将一些垃圾和废物做出一个东西，让它更有价值。

这次环保活动让我深刻体会到环境保护的重要性。在河边拾垃圾的过程中，我发现许多塑料、瓶子和包装纸被随意丢弃，对自然环境造成了很大破坏。起初是有点抗拒的，毕竟河流发出来的臭味实属有点可怕，但浅浅尝试了后，虽然只是短短的一下子，但当我们亲手将这些垃圾清理出来时，内心感到非常充实，也意识到每个人的小小举动其实都能对地球产生积极影响。

今天去河里捞垃圾真的令人印象深刻 以往这种活动都只是在电视上 社交媒体上看过 但没有亲身体验过 今天真的穿上胶鞋 带上手套到河里拾垃圾的时候 才发现河里的垃圾真的很肮脏恶心 无法想象我们的饮用水可能来自这样的水源 河里的垃圾有普通的塑料袋 水瓶 但没想过有芝士 纸尿布 还有木柴！ 在去到那个关于环保的展馆是 印象最深刻的是用纸做成的艺术品 很有创意 也很好看没想过我们身旁的发票 奶茶袋也能化生成艺术品 很有意义！

洗河不是一个简单的工作，好多次差点跌倒在河里。在洗河的过程中就消耗了大部分的体力。经过这次洗河的体验后，真正意识到人类乱扔垃圾和人类活动排出的废水的破坏力，我也觉得每个人都应该要体验一次这样的活动才能更爱护我们的环境。

今天是前所未有的体验咯，第一次下河捡垃圾，我觉得最大的收获不是那40kg的垃圾，而是我们30位同学的合作，互相帮助那些，我也认识了一些新的朋友。当然也学会要照顾环境，平时我们多扮演的都是“丢垃圾”的角色，今天我们体验了“捡垃圾”的角色，体会到了那个肮脏和不容易才知道照顾环境的重要性，毕竟这种不负责任的举动最终影响的也是我们。

一看到那个河，我就想如果可以给我一个可以在河走的交通工具，我可以待在那边一整天捡垃圾，只是河的石头太滑了，感觉很容易滑倒。上游下来的垃圾源源不断，即使我们才捡了河的一小段，就已经有40kg的垃圾了，看到河的另外两侧还有那么多垃圾，真的很想捡。希望如果人可以一起团结起来，一起去捡河里的垃圾，那河应该会很干净，看不到垃圾，希望有一天可以这样。
